Every horse in your Equiyd Horse Management account is automatically available in Equiyd Capture. Select your horse, start a riding session and use the sensors already built into your phone or smartwatch to record the ride. Pair compatible external sensors, including Equiyd sensors, to add even deeper telemetry and movement data.

Every ride can be captured using your phone, smartwatch or paired external sensors, with up to 12 sensors supported. Replay your full ride map by gait, cadence and speed, see how much of the session was spent in walk, trot, canter or gallop, and review key ride metrics in one place.

Equiyd’s computer vision can assess gait and way of going alongside straightness, adjustability, engagement and recovery, as well as discipline-specific performance.For jumping, analysis can include scope, bravery, carefulness, front and hind technique, bascule and how the horse uses its body through different distances and phases of the jump. How much does Equiyd Capture cost and how do I access it?

Equiyd Horse Management is free to download and use. To access Equiyd Capture, upgrade to Equiyd Professional for £9.99 per month through the Horse Management app. Professional includes Equiyd Capture for unlimited horses, so you do not need a separate subscription for each horse. Once your account has been upgraded, download the Equiyd Capture mobile app from the App Store and sign in using the same Equiyd account. Your horses and riding data are then connected across both apps.

What is Equiyd Capture and how does it work?

Equiyd Capture is a mobile riding and telemetry app that turns your phone or smartwatch into a riding sensor. Select a horse already in your Equiyd Horse Management account, start a session and Capture records movement, gait, cadence, speed, GPS route, distance and duration. You can also pair compatible external sensors, including Equiyd sensors, for deeper telemetry. Every completed session is linked back to your horse’s Equiyd record, keeping your riding history and movement insights together in one place.

Do I need an Equiyd Horse Management account to use Equiyd Capture?

Yes. Equiyd Capture works alongside your free Equiyd Horse Management account, with both apps connected through the same Equiyd solution. First download the free Equiyd Horse Management app, create your account and add your horses. You can then upgrade to Equiyd Capture through the Horse Management app and download Equiyd Capture from the App Store to start recording your rides. Your horses and riding sessions stay connected across both apps, and Equiyd Capture can be used across unlimited horses on your account.

How does Equiyd Capture learn what is normal for my horse?

Equiyd Capture uses Equiyd’s proprietary AI and machine-learning models to build a baseline for each horse and rider over time. Our CTO’s background in Formula One and telemetry has influenced the way we think about this: in the same way motorsport uses data from the relationship between driver and car to understand normal performance, Equiyd applies similar telemetry principles to the relationship between horse and rider.

Each recorded session adds more data to your horse’s individual baseline, helping Capture understand what is normal for that horse across gait, cadence, rhythm, movement and other session patterns. The more consistently you use Capture, the richer that baseline becomes and the more meaningful comparisons between rides can be.

For the strongest baseline, we recommend using Equiyd Capture on every ride wherever practical, so changes can be viewed in the context of that horse’s own normal over time.
