What information do I need to submit about my horse?

For the most complete and transparent horse profile, sellers will need to share a range of information:

‍

  • Passport information such as registered name, breeding, date of birth, passport number and microchip details
  • directly upload the vaccination page into the platform
  • Link any competition records the horse may have to the profile
  • Upload any vet history from your own vet (preferably 12-months or more)
  • Include any additional documentation that may be available, such as pre-purchase x-rays or vetting reports

The more comprehensive the information you provide, the higher your transparency score will be, helping potential buyers to build increased trust in the process and make informed decisions.

How are final balance payments handled?

Final balance payments are managed securely through our platform. We release all due payments to the sellers once the buyer has confirmed receipt of the horse and all the necessary paperwork, including the passport.

This ensures that both parties are satisfied and all conditions of the sale are met before the funds are transferred.

Should I expect buyer communications through the platform? OR How does Equiyd differ from a typical marketplace such as Horsequest.

Equiyd is not a marketplace. We recommend that you continue to advertise your horse on other platforms like Horsequest, including in your advert a link to the horse profile on Equiyd.

Inform potential buyers that you prefer to manage the process through Equiyd. Once a buyer creates an account, you will be able to see and manage their requests through our platform.

While you can still communicate with buyers and arrange viewings outside the platform, we ask that all important transactions, such as finalising the sale and transferring documents, be conducted through Equiyd.

This approach enhances security and ensures a comprehensive digital audit trail for your records.
